Of course I love all of your vidios that I have seen...but one I seem to be missing is how to change your address on your RFC...I tried to do it online but it would not accept my RFC# telling me it had to be 12 digits...Then it coud not accept my password either ...no reason and when I checked I forgot it...nothing happened...NOW...How do I get an appointment to change my addrdess?? And I have an INSEN card showing I am of the third age...or OLD...will that get me a walk in? Thank yu in advance!

We werein Rosarito and got pulled over for “tints”. Cops took our licenses and told us to follow them, they proceeded to take us to an atm in the outskirts of town. They then cuffed us together and said our car was gonna get towed if we didn’t pay $40,000 pesos. They then told each one of us to go into the atm and retrieve as much money as we could, while we retrieved the money, they ransacked our car and took money, clothes, jewelry, tequila bottles, colognes.

If you are Hispanic and you speak Spanish like a Mexican native, then you should consider Mexico and much of Central or South America. But there is no major city anywhere in Central or South America that is safe for anyone, native or not. And if you are not Hispanic or cannot pass as a native, then absolutely not, unless you don't mind being mugged or living the rest of your life in a gated and heavily guarded community (aka a nice prison). Except for Puerto Rico and maybe Cuba, you are not safe except in a gated community if you cannot pass as a native. fyi, that goes for most of Southeast Asia as well. If you are northern European ancestry, why not Poland? Why not Slovenia? Both are magnificent. If money is an issue and you do not want to live frugally, and you can tolerate a little risk (Two orders of magnitude less risk than Mexico) consider Kyiv or Lviv Ukraine. War or no war, you will be 1000% more safe than anywhere in Central or South America or Southeast Asia. There is no violent street crime, NONE. The only crime you have to deal with in Ukraine or anywhere in Eastern Europe or the former Soviet Union is pickpockets and non-violent scams. As for cost, you can live like a KING on $2000 a month. You would have to have $150,000 a year in the USA to live in the USA as you can live on $24,000 a year in Ukraine. If you have $5000 a month, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, etc. etc. are all good choices. BECAUSE YOU CAN PASS AS A NATIVE!

Living in Mexico? Even though you might not have to have U.S. auto insurance, I highly recommend getting Mexican auto insurance, whether you have U.S. insurance or not.

I was born in Rome.Italy I lived in California 40+ years since I was 16. I have owned a condo in Cabo since 2012. I had no issues adapting at beginning because many things of the Italian and Mexican culture are similar, it was a breath of fresh air when I first moved there. Nicer people, a sense of community, relaxed lifestyle, adapting wasn't a problem. Cabo reminded me of some Italian beach towns, and when I am in Italy at some beach towns specially in the South, they remind me of Cabo. Spanish was never an issue,I am fluent in Italian and French languages, I picked up Spanish quick. But yes in Summer time I come back here to Santa Monica in California for 2-3 months which is where I am right now.

Why would anyone want to live in a prison? Because that is what a gated community in Central America is, a prison. And you would have to be stark raving crazy to try to live like a native in Mexico - you would not last a week. You cannot leave that gated community without a bodyguard, preferably 2 or 3 bodyguards. Otherwise every beggar will chase you and every criminal will notice you. If you cannot leave your home and walk to a shopping center, if you cannot drive your car without being a target, if you cannot take a bus and if you cannot pass as a native, you are insane to move to that country.

I have lived in Mexico for over 4 years and I would choose PANAMA over MEXICO 1000 percent for those folks who no longer qualify due to monthly income because of Mexico's new ridiculous solvency requirements for both their Temporal or Permante Visa. Folks, just Google "the Panama Pensionado Visa program." You only have to prove that you receive $1000 USD in pension only. Sorry but Mexico recently change their permanent resident visa in 2024 to a ridiculous solvency of $7000 USD. Note: DO NOT BUY A HOME IN MEXICO....RENT instead.

I drove the 95D at insane speeds, the cops just watch you go by. I speed in the left lane, set my flasher to the left when I want to pass someone and they move right away! Be agressive and you’ll be fine, if you’re not a great driver, don’t try it. THIS IS A REAL FREE COUNTRY and $20 usd takes care of everything. ❤ Mexico

I’m a U.S. citizen working fully remotely for a U.S. company and have been wanting to living in Mexico for years but my company doesn’t permit me to live outside of the country because of taxes. I always have a U.S. address to be registered to + I had a temporary residence visa, which I was told was meant for non-Mexican citizens working for non-Mexican companies/receiving non-Mexican income, but my company rejected this. Will they have to pay any taxes/fees? Or can I handle everything to make it easier for them to accept ? They've been saying I'm only allowed to work from Mexico 90 days each calendar year, however I know that U.S. citizens are able to legally be in Mexico for around 180 days.

Question - Can you schedule an appointment to get an RFC in a Mexican State that is not your home state, or does it have to be an office in your home state?
